IDG Capital Invests $20M In File Transfer App Zapya

Beijing-based cross-platform file sharing and transfer app maker Zapya has raised US$20 million in series B financing led by IDG Capital Partners, according to Chinese media reports.

The company received several million U.S. dollar series A funding from Northern Light Venture Capital and Innovation Works in 2013.

Launched in 2012, Zapya has monthly active users of around 50 million. Its apps provide fast cross-device file sharing and transfer services, including wireless sharing among Android, iOS and Windows PC devices, and speedy transfer without using mobile data plans.
