GGV Capital and Shunwei Capital have led a RMB400 million (US$58 million) new funding round in Chushou TV, a mobile video live streaming platform specialized in mobile games.
Qiming Venture Partners and Feidian Capital also participated in the round.
“With the rise of China’s mobile Internet, new types of fun social networking platforms with strong interactivity like Chushou TV will be an emerging future trend,” said Li Hongwei, a partner at GGV Capital.
Established in 2011, Chushou TV claims to have over 2.7 million live video streaming hosts on its platform with daily active hosts of 150,000.
The company previously raised US$20 million from an unnamed Chinese A-share listed company.
It plans to use the latest proceeds on building up its user network, improving interactivity with users and expand its live video hosts network.
