China is facing growing threats of an HIV/AIDS epidemic, with the total number of people living with HIV and AIDS in China having surged by 14% year-on-year to reach over 820,000 by the end of June, according to officials at the recent 5th National Conference on HIV/AIDS held in China’s Kunming, Yunnan Province.
