2018 In Review: Chinese 15 Largest Funds Collect $46B Amid Capital Winter

The challenge of fundraising has clouded the Chinese venture capital and private equity funds management field in 2018. During the so-called "capital winter" — in which nearly 60% of chief financial officers of Chinese investment institutions expressed a confidence slump in securing capital, an aggregate of US$111.63 billion was raised across 858 funds, a dive of 60.16% year-on-year in terms of the cumulative fund size.
