Beijing-based Chinese Internet-based recruitment service provider Liepin.com says that it has completed US$70 million series C financing led by Warburg Pincus and Matrix Partners China, according to a company announcement.

This is the largest investment into a recruitment service company in the last five years in China.

Previously, Liepin.com received series A round led by Matrix Partners China in 2011.

Liepin.com has a database of more than 10 million registered professionals users, over 100,000 corporate members and 100,000 headhunters.

"The follow-on investment by Matrix in this round is to help Liepin further improve its vertical platform incorporating PC, mobile and call center services," says David Zhang, founding managing partner of Matrix Partners China.

Warburg Pincus has previously invested in Chinese companies including 58.com, RDA Microelectronics, Xueda Education and Tianyu.
