September PMI Jumps To 51.2

The China HSBC flash PMI jumped sharply to 51.2 in September from 50.1 in August, stronger than market expectations of 50.9.

The output component rose to 51.1 in September from 50.9 in August and the new orders component jumped to 52.6 from 50.8.

More notably, the new export orders component rose sharply by 3.6 points to 50.8 from 47.2, the first move above 50 in six months and a sign of recovering external demand.
