Kaiwu Capital’s Debut Fund Raises $98M


Beijing-based Chinese venture capital firm Kaiwu Capital disclosed in a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filing that it has raised US$98 million for its debut fund.

Kaiwu began fundraising in September, 2012 with a target size of US$150 million.

The company has also changed its name to Kaiwu Walden Capital, according to the filing.

Founded in 2011, Kaiwu focuses on investing in the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT), healthcare and clean tech sectors in China.
