Boston-based private equity firm HarbourVest Partners says that it has promoted its head of secondary investments in Asia Tim Flower to managing director, according to a company announcement.
Flower joined HarbourVest’s secondary team in London in 2008. For the past three years, he led the firm’s secondary investment efforts in Asia.
Flower led HarbourVest’s recent deals in Asia including "Project Beijing", in which it acquired stakes in eight China-based companies together with Hong Kong-based NewQuest Capital. He also led a secondary direct purchase of five South African businesses from a Johannesburg-based bank.
Flower joined HarbourVest from Bridgepoint in London, and his prior experience includes positions with MCF Corporate Finance, Nordea Securities and Ernst & Young.
At the same time, HarbourVest also promoted Julie Eiermann, its head of portfolio analytics team, to managing director.
