IFC Targets $1.5B Pan-Asian Fund


The International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank’s investment arm, is planning to launch an IFC Asia Fund with a target fund size of US$1 billion to US$1.5 billion, according to media reports.

IFC will be the fund’s anchor investor, with additional capital to be raised from global institutional investors.

The fund will focus on infrastructure, manufacturing and services, as well as financial services sectors across Asia.

The fund will be managed by IFC Asset Management Company, and will co-invest in new IFC projects.
