
Beijing-based telephone data service provider DianHua.cn has received tens of millions U.S. dollar series A investment led by Morningside Ventures, according to Chinese media reports.
GGV Capital, Dragonrise Capital, Russian mogul Yuri Milner and Xiaomi Inc. all participated.
Founded in 2012, DianHua.cn received an undisclosed angel investment from Beijing-based Chinese telecommunications firm Net263 Ltd.
The company says it will use the proceeds to further develop the search functions of its databases, and expand its service offerings.
DianHua, which means telephone in Chinese, offers databases of over 60 million businesses and over 85 million telephone numbers in China. Its data are used by some of China’s biggest Internet firms, including Alibaba Group Holdings, Tencent Holdings and Xiaomi.
