
Beijing-based face recognition technology platform Face++ has received US$22 million series B financing from Qiming Venture Partners and Innovation Works, according to the official Weibo account of Kai-Fu Lee, founder of Innovation Works.
The latest financing round reportedly valued the company at US$100 million.
Founded in 2012, Face++ received angel investment from Chinese angel investor Legend Star. In 2013, it received US$1 million series A financing from Innovation Works.
Face++ currently provides face detection, recognition and analysis services to 14,000 mobile apps including some of the world’s largest Internet companies Alibaba Group Holdings and Sina Weibo.
