FountainVest Leads $32M Series B Round In Xingren


Shanghai-based healthcare mobile app maker Xingren has completed RMB200 billion (US$32 million) series B round of financing led by FountainVest Partners, according to Chinese media reports.

Existing investors Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners also participated.

Xingren, which means "almond" in Chinese, plans to use the proceeds to improve its mobile apps and expand market share.

The company raised US$5 million series A financing from Sequoia and Lightspeed in September 2014.

Xingren currently has over 100,000 registered doctors. Its apps allow Chinese doctors and patients to interact. It also serves as a social networking platform and online knowledge center for doctors.
