Sailing, Freeman Financial Launch Securities Brokerage JV In Shanghai FTZ


Sailing Capital and Hong Kong-listed Freeman Financial Corporation Limited have agreed to launch a joint venture securities brokerage firm in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, according to a regulatory filing.

Sailing Capital, backed by state-owned conglomerate Shanghai International Group, and Freeman Financial Corporation will each commit RMB350 million to the new venture, which is seeking to secure RMB3.5 billion in total registered capital.

Another 13 partners, including three corporate investors in Hong Kong, nine corporate investors and one limited partnership investor from Mainland China, will commit the remaining part.

The joint venture company will provide securities brokerage services, securities underwriting, advisory, financing, asset management, and other securities services, says the filing.
