New Horizon Leads $50M Series D Round In Chukong Technologies

Beijing-based Chinese mobile game developer Chukong Technologies Inc. Co., Ltd. says the company has raised US$50 million of series B financing.

New Horizon Capital led the round. Northern Light Venture Capital, Steamboat Ventures, Sequoia Capital and GGV Capital also participated.

Chukong says it will use the proceeds to expand its current line of business in mobile game development, publishing and game engine development.

The company has raised US$83 million since its foundation.

Chukong Technologies has 63 million monthly and 11 million daily active users, 90% of them are Mainland users of its deep sea fishing game, Fishing Joy.

The company also sponsors and manages Cocos2D-x, an open source 2D game engine used by about 400 thousand developers.
