A: The nascent state of the philanthropic sector is a challenge, because there is not as much support for impact investors. Also, there is a communication gap. A lot of global impact investing leaders do not know much about China’s impact investing activities, and vice versa.

Q: Lastly, what is your expectation for the future of impact investing sector in Asia?

A: My hope is that it will become bigger and deeper, with more and more investors entering the sector. If we can do that, I’m hopeful that we can move the needle on some of our biggest problems such as child malnutrition, climate change and inequality.
