Palo Alto, California-headquartered Agora, Inc., a communications as a service (CaaS) provider, has completed US$20 million series B round of funding from Morningside Ventures, SIG, GGV Capital, ShunWei Capital and IDG Capital Partners.
According to an announcement, the latest funding round will bring the start-up’s total funding to US$25.9 million.
Agora says it will use the funds to further expand its global infrastructure and sales and marketing initiatives.
Founded in 2014, Agora’s CaaS allows enterprises to add real-time communications for any application through a simple, powerful SDK. It enables mobile and web users to make voice calls, video chats, share screens, and exchange files.
"Agora meets the needs of tomorrow’s applications to deliver richer communications between people around the world from their mobile devices," says Tony Zhao, CEO and founder of Agora.
